    P365XL vs P365 comparison

Last night I traded in one of my P365ís for the new P365XL, and thought I would share some size comparison pics.

Initially I wasnít planning on getting a P365XL, however when Holosun announced yesterday that they are coming out with a miniaturized version of their popular and proven HS507C RDS, dubbed the ď507KĒ, which is designed specifically to fit the P365XL cutout, I knew I had to have one.

Besides being optics ready, what I really like about the P365XL is that for me, with my size large gloved hands, I can get a full grip on the gun, no pinkie hanging off the end, and am able have the mag drop free without adjusting my grip. Ordered a new Vedder holster for it, and the plan is to carry it with a TRL-6 light and Holosun 507K once they start shipping. Should make for an intriguing, compact but still fully functional 12 round defensive carry weapon!

It seems to me that guns are similar to cell phones: They started out big and heavy (think the original suitcase size cell phones and the original all steel .45's and 6" cowboy guns) and then got smaller, to tiny (think LCP or Bodyguard and the old really little flip phones) and now are getting bigger and offering more capacity and larger size for easier handling by medium and larger size hands (think the 365XL above and the new cell phones which seem to be the size of a small tablet).

    I think this is interesting.
