Well, the title of your thread will get some bug-eyes, my friend, that's for certain.

I sure won't buy a S&W with one on it. Talk about ignoring your customer base for years and years. Not to mention the quality of S&W revolvers today is crap. Don't buy one unless you can personally inspect it. Older stuff (before late 80's) is great.

They don't have to be pinned and recessed, but vintage S&W revolvers are better built IMO. Current production are still good but I'd opt for an older model

I donít buy S & W guns with locks. All mine are older. Around a month ago I got a 1972 model 36-1 3Ē. Itís perfect and a sweet gun.

It was only out of morbid curiosity that I started reading the thread.

I wonder if, when American Outdoor Brands spins out S&W, if they'll be more willing to get rid of the lock?

My S&W revolver collection stops right around 2002. About the only things new I would buy is one or two of the no lock DAO guns.
Arkancide- Three self-inflicted gunshots to the head with hands tied behind the back.

Active Shooter Response- Assess the situation, Position yourself to gain tactical advantage, Engage perpetrator violently (APE).

I will buy Smiths with the lock. I just take them apart, grind off the flag and put them back together.
