No, just 40mm, 60 tpi Bontragers. I stay off the bare ice, but it handles just fine on snow provided I keep my speed manageable.

Exercise is probably more important than any tactical training as we refer to it....and the older we get, the more important it is.

I might maybe have been stretching it a bit when I put this one under the heading of tactical training. As you said, exercise is probably the most important thing we can do as we get older. Strokes and coronaries kill exponentially more of us than do violent criminal types.

I have a great bike but no where to ride. I refuse to ride on the 4 lane US highway or the gravel roads with farmers driving 70 mph.

Fortunately for me, I have neighborhood side streets and sidewalks on the main drags. Technically it is illegal to ride bicycles on the sidewalks, but I'll gladly pay that fine rather than get scrapped up off the streets. To my knowledge, no one in my city has been busted for riding a bicycle on the sidewalks.

My knees aren't quite ready to hop on a moving bicycle yet, but I'm looking forward to that day.

I have great riding areas available in all four directions from my house. On days that I want to be completely off-road, I ride over to the golf course and enjoy the 4+miles of trails and hilly terrain.

perfectly legal to ride a bike or an electric bike on side walks in florida. you just have to give way to pedestrians.
