    BN36X3 Range Report

Well, after doing a rough 50 yard sight-in here at home, then taking it to an indoor 100 yard range to zero the scope, I took it to an outdoor range to get some more distance.

Impressions - This rifle is DEFINITELY a shooter. It has a nice, light trigger and, as I said in another post, minimal felt recoil. I am going to start with the disclaimer that I have not shot at >100 yards since I was a teen back in the early 70's. I am very happy with the performance of the rifle, as it handled a variety of ammo ranging from 150 gr to 180 gr without any issues. Over the previous few days, between shooting here at the farm and at the indoor range, I managed to cycle 60 rounds through it. Today, I ran another 60, possibly 70. It's safe to say that it's at least mildly broken-in.

As for accuracy, it is well beyond my capabilities. Mind you, as I said, I have not shot distances greater than 100 yards for 45+ years. I'm fairly happy with my results. I was shooting bench rest, resting the rifle on my range bag. Next time out, I'll try 300 yards. For now, though, it was too muddy and we had some time constraints.

First picture is at 150 yards. ETA: some of the holes in this target are from my son's 5.56.

Second picture is at 200 yards.
