That would make a dandy close in hog or deer gun!

Nice find! Have seen a lot of persons use the .45 Colt lever actions for deer hunting in the woods and they report good success.

Smart lad. He needs a Ruger wheel to match it (hint hint). Great, versatile caliber with a heavy weight punch.

I tried to point him toward a 45 Blackhawk but he didn't like the look or balance, showed him the Redhawk 45 colt/45acp with the 3" barrel he liked the looks but wants to find one so he can handle it before buying

O man, That's a nice buy. I think the 92's are dang good guns and I really like the 45 Colt round. I am jealous. I hope he enjoys it. I almost grabbed a 357 version but, it was stainless and I like the blued so much better.

    That will serve him well.

    I've got a 16" Rossi 92 in 45Colt and a 4 5/8" Blackhawk.
Nice pair, but be careful if you reload for it. The Blackhawk is capable of heavier loads than the Rossi. The rifle has an extractor cut where the brass can flow with max loads. The Blackhawk does not.

I have it's little brother in 44 Magnum, and I'm pretty partial to it. I need to get some more 240gr bullets so I can reload some more for it!

Love my Rossi in 38/357 magnum. 38spc feels like 22lr and 357 magnum is almost as soft shooting. Dont like the buckhorn rear sight but that's an easy fix I havent gotten around to replacing.

Mine is a .357 with a .357 Vaquero as its partner. Great guns.

    Very nice!

Is it an older gun? I don't see the usual flip safety on top of the bolt.
Arkancide- Three self-inflicted gunshots to the head with hands tied behind the back.

Active Shooter Response- Assess the situation, Position yourself to gain tactical advantage, Engage perpetrator violently (APE).
