Nope, it had the tube and ported barrel when I picked it up.

A man, without force, is without the essential dignity of humanity. Human nature is so constituted, that it cannot honor a helpless man, although it can pity him; and even this it cannot do long, if the signs of power do not arise.

If I could find one, an old slamfired Ithaca model 37 featherlite, anywhere between 20 and 12 gauge. Then I have to practice, bang, bang, load, load, bang, bang, load, load. My -i-l hit 6 deer, downed 5, filling most of our tags (legal as long as tagged within like 15 minutes), 2 - 3 rounds in the dead ones. One crawled off before the second shot, but dropped a good amount of blood first and got too far away by the time we got to trailing it about 5 minutes later.

Personally, not knowing how many I'm up against, I think I'd prefer the 30 round mag of some sort of AR-15, perhaps the M&P15.
When seconds count, help is only 18+ minutes away!

I purchased my first high end 12 gauge today at Cabela's

    The Benelli M4

Originally I was going to go with what I thought to be the adjustable stock version but come to find out the one available based on the M1014, the stock is NOT adjustable. Its basically just for looks so I saved myself a bit of $ and got the fixed stock version.

    Just Plain and Simple

I have a couple of the older Police Magnums. I much prefer the wood stock versions. I had a mag tube extension but took it off due to the extra weight. Wood stock dated 1997, polymer 2001.
