Wait a minute. We're OK with guns, but are afraid of the human body and human sexuality that predates guns by about 200,000 years?
We're angry that someone is exercising a right that is protected by the US Constitution?

BTW. My sponsored links box is always empty. No pretty ladies on the pages for me...

I'm not totally bent out of shape over it, BUT I find these adds in the same league as adds for lower G.I. ( perhaps you get my drift), adult diaper, feminine hygiene, and other such products. DON'T NEED to see them, AND don't expect to see them here.

True. But proper preparation reduces the unexpected.....hence the ad blocker.

NO ONE has access to my electronic devices, to my knowledge. Each device AND every website have different user name and passwords. Unless I were to be hacked, I don't think that would be the case. Having close family that deals with digital security issue's for a living, I'd be chastised to no end for allowing that to be brought on BY MYSELF.

My sponsored links box is usually empty and when it isn't, its either gun related or local advertisements. Mind you, I do not have an ad blocker. The only time I ever see a racy ad or click-bait is when I'm browsing on a different computer and not logged in. Oh well.

Right now my sponsored links box has a DSG Holsters ad (never heard of them before), the banner above the thread is an FN 509 ad and up in the right hand corner is gun.deals. No smutt, no alternative lifestyle ads. Not that I would put into a rage if they showed up. I'd simply refresh the page if I found them so unappealing and likely be rid of them for the moment.

I can change channels when a tampon (or unwanted/unsolicited ad of choice) commercial comes on at dinner time, and I suppose I could change forums to avoid the likes here, but is that really what the forum powers to be want?

After the last closed thread on pop-up ads, I downloaded adblocker and all ads disappeared.

The preacher must lead a very sheltered life.

It's all based on analytics and data mining. It takes many factors into account. The potential age of the viewer, their search and browsing history, among a whole slew of other things. The website doesn't control the content of the ads, that is run by a third party who uses an algorithm and posts an ad off their database. You could always install an ad blocker. I never see ads and I pretty much avoid any site that blocks me when I block their ads.

As an option you could use adblocker to eliminate the blank square as well.

And I guarantee the admin would take that gun ad down in a pair of seconds!

That's EXACTLY what is, and the solution is just that simple. The Admins do not control the content, and the solution to the problem is as simple as pressing a few buttons. I visit the forum mostly on my mobile devices which do not have ad block, and as long as I stay logged in, I do not see any ads other than the purchased firearm related ads from sponsors.

It's not that big of a deal. Block the ads, stay logged in, refresh the page, or simply do not look. I for one didn't mind the ad in the OP, and I thank him for sharing. I wish GlockMan would kept his alternative life style ad to himself however.
