I look at the forum without logging in frequently. When doing so I use the “Activity Stream” button. Right now that function is stuck on a post by OldChap from March 28 @ 5:11 pm. The button works fine when I’m logged in.
The site was moved to Cloud Flare around March 2th in order to provide a more responsive and secure site for logged in users. Members are encouraged to log into the site for optimal user experience.

Thank you Cricket for taking the time to answer, I do appreciate it. The part in bold is where I will disagree (not that I believe anything will change mind you) and here’s why; before the change you could NOT click on a members name and get their profile page NOW YOU CAN? So we can’t get updates without logging in however we can get to a members profile page without being a member???
This is my reason for thinking that we are getting less secure, not more. My experience hasn’t been anymore optimal than it was before - same nice folks here but I’ve yet to get a birthday or Christmas card....just say’in...
I had to look up whwat's Casper mentality is,so now I know......
I like to read, and I do that many times a day.I was just reading about somebody wanting a simple little gun.I can't recommend one,but it's still interesting to know other people's opinion.
I also read many newspaper without logging in.It might be my bad habit.
For example, after lunch I take a 10 minutes brake,no sense to lug in.I know it's bad for advertisement, but that's what works for me.
PS.I don't want to to remain anonymous.
Optimal User Experience.
I love that phrase. It makes me chuckle. It reminds me of a movie I watched the other day called Sleeper.
I do find this topic very interesting.
The first thing I do when wanting to join a new forum is check on their activity. Maybe forums are more active than they give the impression of being.
I did not join one of the muzzleloading forums because it seemed no one was posting. Maybe their forum is stuck, too.
I stay logged in so I don't have to scroll down past all those ads that appear between posts when you are not logged in. Makes sense to me. And when you stay logged in, no one really knows if you are there or not there anyway.
