Oh, happy day. I finally got a barrel wrench for my Dan Wesson revolver.

Purchased a used Dan Wesson, Model 14 - .38/.357 - about a year and a half ago. After a few range visits, the cylinder started to drag against the barrel. None of the gunsmiths I knew in Ohio, or here in N.C., had a DW barrel wrench. And the DW parts site was out of stock on barrel wrenches. (I found a few on ebay, but the sellers were asking more than I was willing to pay.) So for far too long, the gun sat in my safe, in need of repair. It was a genuine bummer, to say the least.

On the DW parts site, I used the option to be notified via email, when the wrenches were back in stock, and had almost forgotten about it. Recently, an email arrived from the DW site with the news that the wrenches were back in stock. I ordered one, got it a few days later, and then hightailed it to my gunsmith. Now the DW Model 14 is working like a champ! It's almost as if I got new revolver.

I'd be lucky to still have the gun in that time, lol.

I kept thinking, if I sold it, the wrenches would be back in stock the next day lol.

    Oh, happy day indeed.
    Great news!

The only time in my life I've ever had a revolver malfunction was when I tried to set the gap on my M44 by eyeball, rather than using the feeler gauge!

Be aware, though, that DW's are as addictive as 1911's - maybe worse!

This morning I received a Harris BRMS Bi-Pod for the .17 HMR Tikka T1x.

Also showing in the photo is my Leupold VX-Freedom Rimfire 3-9x40 Scope with Leupold Alumina magnetic covers.

Waiting on my Leupold 11mm dovetail low mount 1" scope rings so I can mount and zero this baby.

Showed the 66-2 a little love with a set of original grips. The large target grips had soaked up years of WD40 making them dark and nasty.

Springfield Armory 1911A1 Loaded Stainless (had one a long time ago but regretted getting rid of it ever since)

Against my better judgement and financial status, I ordered an upper receiver, SS gas block, armorer's tool, and 15" keymod, free-floating forearm for my Mongoose build. Should be here 01/02.

All I need now is a rifle-length gas tube and a keymod swivel adapter for my Harris bipod.
