The CZ Shadow 2 I ordered from CZ Custom a few weeks ago arrived, and I picked it up last night. CZ Custom goes through the gun and it benefits from an improved trigger with much shorter reset, and a couple more goodies. Their head gunsmith, Eric Zinn, is the guy who works on my 1911s, and he did my CZ. SA trigger is 3-1/2 pounds, DA is 7-1/2. I just pulled out the CZ75 to compare. The 75's SA trigger isn't bad, just heavier, but the DA is like a bumpy road in comparison.

This is strictly a competition gun for me, and I'm undecided about running it in Production or Limited divisions. I'm so used to having just 8+1 in the gun and reloading whenever I move, this will be a serious cultural change for me!

Now to order a Red Hill Tactical holster and a few more mags.

    Signess Flared Up!

Well, that Sig P210 that's been sitting at the LGS for a few months now got its hooks into me!

It's an American made model, December 2017 production, in almost (but not quite) new condition.

They had offered to knock $100 off the price a few weeks ago, so I went in today hoping to get them to come down a little more. No luck. I couldn't get them to go any lower on the price, but it was very fair, so I "pulled the trigger"!

Hope to be able to provide a range report tomorrow!

I finally got something today worth reporting, a Wilson Combat-Beretta Vertec/Brigadier Tactical 92G (de-cocker only). My company had given me a substantial cash gift in lieu of a gold watch at my retirement last summer. And I have been doing a lot of "I like that, no I like this" drills since then, and finally something caught my eye. https://www.wilsoncombat.com/92g-ver...dier-tactical/

I was able to get it at a great price on Gunbroker, a price substantially less than what I could have bought direct from Wilson with a 15% military discount. This will be a range gun only and an heirloom I can proudly pass down the line to my family tree. Hopefully the rain will ease up shortly so I can take this puppy for a walk.

I just flew in from my trip to San Antonio, TX earlier today. I went straight to my LGS to pick up my new stainless steel S103 "SOUTHPAW" 1911 from Cabot Guns. It was a 6 month waiting period as they built it from a block of steel upon my order last November BUT it's finally home. No more merely shooting "ambidextrous" pieces that still eject casings from the right side of the gun. This is ALL LEFTY...the mag and slide releases, the safety, the barrel rifling, the ejection port and even down to the magazines. They are ALL LEFTY and I LOVE IT!!!! We're hitting the range tomorrow morning. Woooooo!!!!

Very Sweet! But what exactly is a left handed magazine?

The ENTIRE piece is geared and engineered for a left-handed person from the barrel rifling, the ejection port and down to the magazines. The magazines are not "ambidextrous" where you can merely move the magazine catch button from one side of the piece to the other. The magazine is made to assist the cartridge's ejection out of the "left" side of the gun instead of the right side like all pieces do now. Hence, "SOUTHPAW!" I can't just go into the LGS and pick up these types of magazines. They are unique to this type of piece and I have to order them from the company itself (which I've already done and they even sent me 2 free ones since I purchased the piece from the company).

Thanks. Hard to get my head around the idea of a mirror image gun. Too bad it takes the expense of a custom gun to accomodate the 5 - 30% of the population who are lefties (depending on whose data you believe on the number of lefties).

Too bad? Naw! You're looking at this thing all wrong @spclopr8tr .
It doesn't take the expense of a custom gun to accommodate the % of lefties in the world.....just this lefty-ME!

I'm the type of cat that when it comes to something that I like and want, I don't mind the expense cause the item will serve a particular need that I have. In this case; I was simply sick and tired of always "adapting" to all of these damn righty-guns over my CC lifestyle for a few years now. Most of my pieces are merely "ambidextrous" (slide release/stop and reversible magazine buttons) but the ejection port was still on the right side of the gun. So, it's still a righty piece to a degree.

About a year ago, I started inquiring about companies that catered to me-the lefty. I am so glad that I did! I even have a lefty shotgun that ejects to the left (i.e. Mossberg 590A1L). And, I just found a company that makes the AR-15 for we lefties as well. Definitely will be grabbing one of those for my arsenal. Shooting whatever is in my hand has never been my issue whatsoever but why merely keep settling for that when I can actually get my hands on a piece that was specifically made with me-a left-handed person in mind? To know that my piece is unique in the fact that it was custom made specifically for me and that no one else in my circles carries it? That's just the icing on the cake for me brother. So, now, I have this:

And, LOVING every bit of it!!!
