I am pretty much a stickler for factory mags - they cost a bit more, but I don't worry about their functionality. My source is whoever has the lowest price - that's often ebay.

    Midway USA.

    They often have sales.

Buy what you need immediately, and then wait for a sale to "stock up"

I buy factory magazines at the local gun store for most of my guns.

I live in Colorado which has a 15 round limit on magazines. But I still buy them at my LGS. They simply take them apart at the register. That way I'm buying a 30 round magazine "kit".

Got a couple of them on sale. I've used these guy's half a dozen times. When they have a sale, they are as good as anybody. I also use Brownells.

Factory or Mec-Gar. Usually buy online from whoever has the best price/shipping.

ebay is the cheapest for my Shield. I'd imagine it would be the cheapest for just about any weapon.

For handguns I buy Factory or Mec-Gar and for my AR's I have Mix of USGI Aluminum and Magpul P Mags. I always surf the internet for whoever has the best prices as well as receiving a ton of email sales notices from places I've purchased from in the past.

    Avoid pro-mag.

In addition to the ones above, CDNN sometimes has great prices. I buy off ebay also.

I buy factory mags from either Bud's or Midway, depending on availability, price, and shipping.
