It's going to be a while until I can make it to the range. PT for the knees is going to take up all my time. But I foresee either my .223 or 6mm Mongoose as the next rounds fired.

Nothing yet, but I'll be doing some shooting tomorrow. First gun I shoot will probably be my smith and wesson model 360 .357 mag.

I'll let you know after I make it to the range this weekend or next. Odds are it's a .40. But maybe I'll get a wild hair and it would be a 32 Winchester Special...

Took my wife to the range today and we ran a few hundred rounds down range firing my HK 45c, HK VP9 and my HK USPC9. That was my first shots fired in 2020. As far as my first piece? Not sure yet!

Were you shooting after it turned midnight?

Well I haven’t fired any gun yet in 2020, rain rain everyday so far, looking forward to taking my G19 and Seecamp 380 to the range soon.

I may go to the range today and I don't know what I'll shoot. I have a 22 WRF from 1926, don't shoot it much maybe it will be the one.

    Just Because You Asked...

Just because you asked, I decided to run out back & pop a few caps...

Seemed like 2020 would be a good year to start out with the ol' Dan Wesson M44:

    First Gun Fired in 2020-dw44-target-04jan20.jpg

Ran 12 rounds through it at 15 yards offhand (but single action). Not sure where I got the 210 gr. Remington SJHP's. Grabbed them out of the ammo cabinet and it occurred to me that they must be pretty old. I don't recall seeing 210 gr. .44 Mag anywhere in years! In any case, they're a STOUT load, even through the ported 8" barrel. Felt recoil seems a little more than even your typical 240 gr. SJHP's.

    Happy New Year!

AH, not exactly. Range closes at 7 PM, even on New Year's Eve, and this old shooter needs to be home before dark.
Getting old was not on my list of "things to do" in the Golden Years!

    Mine was New Years Day:

REM M700 XCR Tactical .223 at about 0710 am which resulted in a dead coyote. Later that morning I switched up to a Ruger 77/22 which resulted in 2 dead gray squirrels.

That was great......getting up at 0600 after staying up past midnight, "just because" not so much. Apparently I don't bounce back like I used to.

I won't be able to get to the range until next week, but the only gun I'll be shooting is the LCP II I bought yesterday.
