My only wish was my Rossi 92 in .357 Magnum was a takedown.

Heap big power out to a 100+ yards, low recoil, and I'm loading full snort 125gr, 140gr and 158gr XTP's over a healthy dose of 2400 or H110 for about 30 cents a round...

    Yeah Risasi!

That sounds like "the "bu'ness" right there!

I once used a friend's Rossi 92 .357 Magnum with full-house .357 Magnum 158 grain hand loads to shoot at a counter weight on a spinning target rig I have that had proven to stand up to M1 Carbine and .44 Magnum from a revolver. Shot it right off of there from 25 yards. Guess the weld could have been previously weakened, but was impressive ... except that I looked kinda silly in front of several shooters watching me damage my target.

The .357 Magnum when fired from a rifle can be a tough customer.

Another other vote here. I've got the pistol caliber covered with ten rounds of .44 mag in a lever action Marlin.
I don't have a revolver to compliment it with.

The other problem I have is at Taylor's and Company. It's an all weather takedown 1892 lever action in .44 mag. Skinner sights and the octagon barrel I've always wanted. I've been coveting it since yesterday after bmcgilvray posted a link to Taylor's website.
I hate it when this happens.

Vintage combo caliber guns live here.

Winchester Model 1873 Rifle and Colt Single Action Army in .38-40.

Winchester Model 1892 Saddle-Ring-Carbine and Smith & Wesson K-Frame Hand Ejector in .32-20.

It's a lot of fun to load up with a pockets full of ammunition and take either combo out for a day afield. I especially like the mild .32-20.

A lot of people have that rifle/pistol bias and do not understand that a magnum revolver cartridge fired from a rifle is right up there. The 357 mag and 44 mag bracket the 30-30. A 357 mag rifle will do anything a 30-30 will.

While not really a pistol but a revolver 357 or the 45 Colt. Already have several revolvers the fire them no rifles for them yet.
Yes Taurus really does suck. But in fairness they sure turned it around fast on warranty repair. Time will tell

I have purchased a Sub 2000 Model 17/22 Glock mags. It is a great PPC IMO. Especially with Glock 31 rd. mags. I installed some M*CABO after market parts. Fold put it in a backpack and done. The Gray Man effect.

My 45 Colt carbine handload with a 300grn XTP is turning between 1800-2000fps depending on what powder I use.
There isn't much in North America that couldn't be taken with those kind of ballistics.

Thats why I wouldnt want a 357 revolver with anything less than a 3 inch barrel. That extra length can make a big difference

Well, right up until you ask it to do real rifle stuff at ranges beyond 100 yards.
