    Mil-Surp Picture thread

    Sorry, no "studio" pics - I only have pics of my milsurps in action!

    First is a M91/30 hex receiver Mosin-Nagant, then a Yugo SKS with a synthetic stock (folding bayonet removed), then a 1943 Springfield Armory Garand, then a Swiss K-31 carbine dating from about 1954.

    Last, just for fun, isn't mine, but that's me torching off a replica Civil War Mountain Howitzer!

    Funny, when I saw your post title, I thought, "Hmm, I guess the only real Mil-surps I have are the K-31's!

    Picked this one up about 7 years ago:

    I liked it so much that when I saw another one about a year later, I grabbed it. I believe that #2 is the nicest K31 I've ever seen!

    It occurred to me that the ol' Colt .45 M1909 qualifies too. I lettered it and found it was sent to the U.S. Government Ordnance Depot, Manila, Philippines, in November, 1909. Found the original box of ammo a few months later.
