You guys need some practice is all! Putting the muffs on takes a lot less time than it does to buy hearing aids or say "Huh?" to the wife.

Seriously, I wonder how someone who is sound asleep, starts a timer and measures how much time it takes to put muffs at bedside on? And just as an aside, hearing is one of the few senses that can save your life in pitch black, and with amplified protectors, I can hear easily twice as well as I ever could - even without all the hearing loss.

Not everyone can afford a suppressor. It would be nice, but just ain't gonna happen. To each his own, but I can assure you when what is left of your hearing is at stake, a few seconds can make a world of difference. If I don't have 10 seconds to spare, I'll just shoot. I don't think that is rocket science. Is it?

40 S&W..... Is it better than a 5.56? That depends......It is WAY quiter, so firing inside will be be WAY less of a problem. With that muzzle device and 180's it is surprisingly quiet, it uses Glock mags. Ballistically it beats a 5.56 fired from a 7.5" BBL.

Not directly ARs... but when I move to Maine, a PTR 9CT pistol is likely a purchase Ill be making somewhat soon.

Suppressors are definitely on the list, but I will have to decide if Im going to SBR anything. The PTR, Im up in the air on. Good thing, it isnt something that is pressing to be done, as the brace can easily be changed out if I decide to go with the stamp. A lot easier to go from pistol than rifle to SBR, as I wouldnt have to have the barrel modified (moot point for ARs).

Im kind of getting interested in the Franklin Armory Reformation... if the ammo ever becomes available. Not a fan of keyholes standard ammo, but at least I can test the waters of what a true SBR feels like prior going for the stamp.

It's a 8.5" 1/7 stainless bbl Palmetto State Armory upper https://palmettostatearmory.com/ar-1...el_length=1401 on an Anderson lower with a Palmetto State Armory lower parts kit, an old ergo grip I had laying around and a SB Tactical SBA3 Pistol Brace. It has a Primary Arms red dot mounted.

Since then I've added Magpul BUIS, a hand stop to the hand rail and changed the ergo grip out for a Magpul moe K2 grip.

Understand and it would take longer I imagine coining out of a sleep. Luckily I have a ferocious attack paddle that can hear someone walk on carpet. Its heck trying to sneak in with out the wifey waking up.

Well Im at a loss for words! Its a work of art, and a well built one at that! I have neither the funds nor the expertise to build one like yours, but you are inspiring to say the least. Thanks for the info on your build!
