Our neighborhood recently experienced burglary. One of the neighbors accidentally left their garage door open all night and a bunch of stuff was stolen. They reached out on Nextdoor and several neighbors had footage of the thief. One image showed him wheeling boxes down the street on a dolly which made everyone suspect he lived in the neighborhood. Another neighbor's garage door opened up unexpectedly in the middle of the night. Their dog alerted them and nothing was stolen. The night before the burglary, my wife saw 2 people on our patio around 3:00 am. They ran as soon as they saw her. She didn't bother telling be about it until later that evening. We live in what I consider a nice neighborhood. But I've always said nice neighborhoods have more stuff worth stealing and sometimes more lax security.

Has anyone tried turning the country off and then back on again?

Part of the reason I chose a LaView system was its WiFi camera capabilities. It was quite disappointing and Iíve hardwired the cameras since then.

I've got four utility trailers and one cattle trailer on my place - not a lug nut on any of them. .

I bought a 4 camera system. The cameras run off Wi-Fi and the NVR has a 1 tb hard drive. The cameras themselves do plug into an outdoor outlet on the house.
