We have a full sized gun safe in our weekday home.
You could be standing within a few feet of it and never know it was there.
I have challenged a few friends to find it and so far, they have not.

Reminds me of the time my wife and I were looking at a potential home once which had a finished basement. The floorplan was such that there was a small unfinished room (I'd guess 6x8) that was accessible behind a door at the end of a hallway. Two of the walls in that room were solid cement. I fantasized that if we bought the home I would reinforce the other two walls and take the door out to make a concealed entrance behind a large mirror or artwork. Would have been a great gun room - if we bought that house.

Calling many of our safes safes is stretching the word. Many are officially classified as residential storage containers. I suppose as not to confuse them with real safes.
Bolt them down and protect the top and sides from access with you know whats.

We wash all our dishes the old fashioned way, by hand, in the sink, so I hide all my handguns in the dishwasher.

We also have a false wall in one of our closets. We have a fake alarm control box plugged into a dead wall outlet. Unplug the alarm and remove the outlet cover. The cover retains a portion of the wall that can be removed. I only use this area to hide 2 hand guns when we are traveling and only take one gun each.
