I wasn't a hunter, nor was anyone in my family, when I saw the film Bambi, as a kid. I haven't seen it since I started hunting, late in life, but I recall enough about it to know that Bambi was an anti-hunting movie. As hunters, we're perpetually up against the tree-huggers. So, here's my politically incorrect comeback to Disney and the anti-hunting crowd....

My "ex-" daughter in law used to park her daughter in front of the Disney kids shows. I finally pointed out to her that all the characters played lying, sterotyped, deceitful little brats and were a fine example to raise a child by. When she actually watched an episode, that was the end of Disney there.

Bambi, and others equally stupid, made by a host of people whose only experience with wild animals was pigeons in the park, have gotten a lot of people hurt and killed. Wildlife Conservation officers regularly deal with fools who think Grizzly bears are so cute they can't resist trying to pet one and end up being a free lunch.
Or doing something equally brainless.

I went to see Bambi as child with a bunch of neighbor kids , later that evening I was standing in the garage helping my father skin the deer he shot that day .
