I don't know where to begin.

As an RO I would have DQ'd driver Pederson for sweeping his own body parts at least 3 times.
Taking both hands off the wheel to reload while pursuing an erratic driver puts both officers at risk. Why not have Staymates reload for him?
And firing the AR inside the vehicle under the circumstances was of questionable value.

It's easy to armchair quarterback this episode, but I think it's worthwhile watching the video and learning from it.

I'd like to see what our LE friends on board here have to say about this one.

On the positive side. This is called job security for the shooting team. Can you imagine the unbelievable task of finding every one of those shots fired along the route of pursuit?

This is why Andy only allowed Barny one .38 special round to be carried in his shirt pocket.

To get a concealed carry license requires the approval of the police chief??? Wow! I think I'll bring my dog to Anaheim so he can get a license.

They will have a tougher time paying for replacement hearing.

Seems you could start by finding all the bodies, and fan-out from there.

This should be used as a training video on "How not to pursue and engage a suspect". Amazing no else was shot or run over. The FTO should have been fired also.

I wasn't particularly thrilled with the LV officer's shooting situation either, but there was a huge circumstances difference. The chase in LV was for murder suspects who were actively firing at the officers (very active threat). The Anaheim chase was for a guy who was stoned and hallucinating as well as was armed who never fired a round that anybody knows about (C02 pistol). LV was responding to a very real threat and matched it. Anaheim escalated the situation aggressively and continued to do so when
