I had never heard of these gals. Sounds like they're getting some well deserved and over due recognition.

Never heard mention of this unit during Black History Month. There's something to be proud of. Job well done, Ladies.

Those who do are those who serve. Every act in support of engaged troops is an act worthy of praise. I am glad recognition lost is now discovered and honored

Ever hear of the ladies flying the aircraft across the North Atlantic to England to replace combat losses. I did, only once long ago.

Wasps? Knew a couple of them. They each had more flying time than most combat pilots.

I had not heard of this unit (the 6888) until now. American women made a a huge contribution to the war effort. Glad to hear their stories are finally being told. A big salute to all those women who have served and are currently serving in the US armed forces.
