    The destruction of the U.S.A.

I guess I must sound like a broken record at times, but I feel there is little I can do to help ensure the future of our country. If there is not much I can do, at least I can share this with our members here who perhaps can share this with others. You really need to read this article. It's fairly short, but I cannot summarize it here in a way that makes good sense.

The collapse of law enforcement will usher in the end of America as we know it

Mortality. It’s something that you don’t really consider when you’re young. You can do anything. You’re invincible.

But as we grow older, we start considering that mortality. It’s time we start considering the mortality of America.

I spend a substantial amount of time working in two different arenas – the world of law enforcement and the business world.

By day, I run a marketing agency. Among the areas we work in, we do extensive work in the firearms industry. My travels take me across the country – often to some of the most rural parts of America.

By night, I am the National Spokesman for Law Enforcement Today. I’m not a police officer. I was tapped because I can do one thing cops can’t do. I can give them a voice. I can run my mouth and no agency can fire me.

I try to stay away from all the negativity. Been way too much of it lately.

    And with that said, I have adopted the idea of a dear departed friend, who said this;

“When the world starts going off the rails, I’m gonna find me something good to drink, something good to smoke, take along a good chaw, and climb the tallest peak that I can find near me, have a seat, and watch as the ******** have at each other”.

    Yep. Sounds like a plan.

I am 77 years old. I have listened to and read all sorts of prognostications that the “Sky is Falling.” It turns out that Chicken Little never cornered doom and gloom predictions. I you are too young to know of chicken little it an alarmist who panics easily and looks form a harbinger of doom. I remember dozens of predictions about the demise of the United States. Here is my short list of things that were predicted to destroy the US over the 7 decades of my life

    Judaism
    Communism
    Atheism
    Catholicism
    Judaism
    Africanism
    Racism
    Catholicism
    Evangelism
    Pornography
    Drug Culture
    Immigration
    Sexual Freedom
    Homosexuality
    Integration
    Welfare
    Medicare
    Social Security
    Voting at 18
    The Draft
    The Draft Ending
    The Democrats
    The Republicans
    The John Birchers
    Militarism
    Pacifism
And I could list another dozen or two things that were to destroy our Nation.

Now here is the thing: the items above were all in the last century ending in 2000 AD.

Now 19 years after I closed out the above list I keep seeing it and we are still here and flourishing. I just do not buy into panic scenarios and you should not either. Our nation will survive long after we are dead.

I remember a sociology professor trying to push this in the 70's when I was just out of the Army and in college. I thought he was nuts. Little did I know 55 years later I would be seeing this right before my eyes.

    Excellent article!

These tactics are being institutionalized, sadly enough.

That is one of the significant differences with prior prognostications with a few minor exceptions.

Excellent article GRaven. One thing you said jumped out as Sister and I were discussing this a few days ago. You're a Christian as we are. We believe Christ will return and the Bible lays out what will happen in end times, one thing is the destruction of Israel. That cannot happen with the United States protecting them.

So, do we fight the good fight against tyranny or vote for one of the socialists and accelerate the 2nd coming?

Actually, I am not a Christian, although I attended a Catholic high school. Born Jewish, practiced Buddhism. My wife is Catholic.

I 100% agree with @glockman10mm and @1942bull . In my 68 years, Chicken Little has always been yelling the sky is falling. And I've seen times in my life that were much worse than now. The whole Vietnam War protests, combined with civil rights protests, made what is happening today look like a scout picnic. There was regular political gun-play back then, also hijackings, kidnappings and bombings. The Symbionese Liberation Army, the Black Panthers, the Red Army Faction and the Manson Family made Antifa look like wussies.

I've been reading up this topic for a while and here are some opinions I have found that I agree with:
    • This is still the strongest, most successful and fairest country ever created, despite our flaws.
    • We have weathered much worse and the flag still waves.
    • An academic study I read reviewed all the attempts of revolutions, rebellions, civil wars, etc., all the regime change events, successful and unsuccessful, around the world for the last 200 years. First, only half of them are successful. Second, there is one factor that is always true with every one, no exception: For one of these events to be successful, the military of the country in question must: 1) Be defeated, 2) Stand aside, OR 3) Join the revolution. I don't see any of those things happening with the US military. If someone tries an armed rebellion here, martial law will be declared, Posse Comitatus will be suspended and the rebels are going to get squashed in short order. If our soldiers can clear out Fallujah, Chicago would be a piece of cake.
    • An article I read in the National Review said, and I agree, there will not be any kind of regime change in the US as long as the vast majority of people have a decent lifestyle. Despite all the BS we read about in the papers, most Americans have decent places to live, good food to eat and can go about their business with a fairly high degree of safety. You do not get a revolution out of that!
