Based on exit polls, the only reliably conservative voting block is white men. White women are split roughly even between D & R votes. All other race/gender voting demographics are solid Dem voters. (Example: https://www.cnn.com/election/2018/exit-polls/) These are just the facts. Doesn't matter which polls you look at (CNN, PEW, etc.), immigrants overwhelmingly vote Dem.

The percentage of non-white voters continues to increase. (Example: https://www.pewsocialtrends.org/essa...electorate-00/)

In 2000, 76% of voters were white; by 2020 that number is estimated to be down to around 67%. Thus for 2020, 1/3 of the population of voters will likely be solid Dem (Hispanic, Black, Asian demographics); roughly 1/3 even split between Dem/Rep (white women); and 1/3 solid Rep (white men). So Trump's chances in 2020 are a coin toss, likely most influenced by how white women vote.

Based on the sheer number of immigrants who have arrived in the past decade and child immigrants coming of voting age, the percentage of non white-male voters will continue to increase, eventually making it nearly impossible for a Republican to be elected POTUS again after the 2020 election (at least for a very long time). Whatever the outcome of the 2020 election, the 2024 and beyond elections are likely solidly Dem wins simply based on voting patterns and the composition of the electorate. IMO Trump is going to be the last Republican president for at least a decade.

Conservatives shouldn't give up, and need to push hard to slow the socialism tide, but the writing is on the wall (so to speak). What conservatives really need to worry about is not just reaching a point of Dems controlling the WH and Congress, but reaching the point of Dem supermajority rule where conservatives have zero power to reign in the socialist agenda.
The polls said Trump couldn't win in '16. We saw how accurate they were.

I have to believe that voters will reject the far left in favor of what is best for the Country.

Just wondering, are these the same exit polls that said Trump didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning the first time?

Yes, the '16 polls were skewed, likely because many people were afraid of admitting in polls that they would vote for Trump.

However, I still think Trump is our last Republican pres for a very long time.

The majority of people of color vote D and their numbers are swelling due to unconstrained immigration, while the percentage of the only reliable R voting block (white-male voters) as part of the overall electorate is decreasing. Are there any indicators these things are not true? There is ample evidence to indicate these things are true, and that these existing demographic trends will continue.

Because of this the tide is turning against conservatives as a voting block. I don't like it, but the numbers are what they are. Unless a significantly larger portion of the non white-male vote swings conservative, Trump is the last Republican president for a long time. Hope and belief are not viable strategies, IMO; conservatives need to figure out a better strategy, and fast.

All this bold talk of civil war just frosts my cake, to be honest.

Seems the "opinion writers" and talk radio jocks like to bring it up because they know they personally would never put themselves at risk. But their words inspire these creepy mental defectives to go out and perform the massacres that'll be the biggest threat to our 2A rights.

The Overton Window on this topic has shifted.

Public discussion of a Civil War II was once unthinkable. It's now in the realm of the radical, but not unthinkable, to discuss publicly.

Please. A civil war? The left could not even win with their own secret police force, the FBI, doing everything they could to change the outcome of an election and later to overthrow a duly elected president. The left tries everything they can. Problem is, they have no ability to get anything done. Losers. Can you imagine what freedom minded people could do if they had the entire media, all of social media, all of the corrupt federal "law" enforcement agency known as the FBI, all the gov't agencies like the state dept, etc at their disposal? The democrats have all of that and they can't win. Grind the liberals into the dirt where they belong. Without outside support, mainly troops, arms and money from places like Russia and the ChiComs, they can win nothing nor take anything with violence. The American electorate is doing fine. Keep voting against Dems. Vote out RINO scum. Remember that the FBI is merely the dem equivalent to the KGB. All we have to do.

If right-thinking people would just get involved in the political process, or at least just VOTE, this would not be a problem. Only about 61% of eligible voters voted in 2016 and only about 54% in 2018. We still have the numbers to win, we just aren't using them.

If everyone who wanted to put this right were contacting their representatives all the time, helping with campaigns they support and getting to the polls without fail. I'm tired of all the excuses:
    • "My reps are already to the left, so it won't make any difference." Wrong. Even if they still vote the same way, reps who are getting pressure from the other side tend not fight as hard for stuff significant numbers of their constituents are against.
    • "My vote won't make a difference." Wrong. Elections nowadays are swayed by smaller and smaller margins and politicians know it.
    • "My conservative rep 'betrayed' me by a couple of statements they made or a vote or two I didn't like, so I'm just not voting, or voting for some third party spoiler who has no chance of winning." Wrong. That just hands the power to the other side. I attended a speech by the late, great conservative thinker William F. Buckley, Jr. He said, "The only intelligent vote for a thinking conservative is for the most conservative candidate who has a chance of winning."
    • "I vote my wallet." That's BS. Elected officials actually have much less to do with the economy than we citizens at large do. It's our rights are we should be worried about. Without the Constitution, we will have an economy like Venezuela. How will your wallet feel about that?

If you want to keep your rights, get involved. It is not too late to avoid both tyranny and bloodshed. I see a lot more moaning about the political situation here than calls to action. I think some gun owners like the idea of a shooting civil war more than the idea of getting off their backsides.
Just my opinion, but I am tired of contacting my reps and senators that just ignore me. Time and time again. It has become obvious that the oligarchy is against us. Representatives, senators, federal and state, judges at all levels, agencies and their bureaucrats, all are giving us the finger, while they are making back room deals to set themselves up to survive a coming civil war and socio-economic collapse.

    We are on our own...

I don't want a civil war, but right now, short of a nationwide spiritual revival, that is our destiny.
