Prayers to his family and friends.

The man accused of killing Dickerson was apprehended after a vehicle chase ended with him being taken into custody near Shreveport Regional Airport in west Shreveport. A warrant has been issued for his arrest on a charge of capital murder of a peace officer, the Sheriff’s Office states.

IMO, this all hit the fan during the previous administrations disregard and disrespect for law enforcement...they reinforced the idea that it was open season on the folks who risk their lives daily to uphold the law.....so sorry for the young officer and his family.

Have to agree. Hatred of cops has become part of the left's creed. They will eventually come to regret it.

I am very sorry to learn this. Our LEO's are heroes beyond compare. This is a travesty.

I would be okay with the death penalty for anyone that shoots an LEO, whether the officer dies or not. But that's just me.

Ever notice how all this hate and violence against police seems to have its footing in the infamous Beer Summit with Obama and Harvard professor Henry Gates, and two others? Sure there were other incidents that followed but police started to be challenged by dirt bags, the press, and politicians. This took place in the 60's, too.
In the final seconds of your life, just before your killer is about to dispatch you to that great eternal darkness, what would you rather have in your hand? A cell phone or a gun?

It's been taken to a new level in modern times. Especially with the race card thrown into the mess.

CNN has been losing viewers at a pretty significant rate recently. Here's to hoping that the trend continues and extends to include the rest of the mainstream media. Fox has even been slipping leftward.

So the shooter had a serious criminal record, with felony convictions.
How could he possibly have possession of a firearm?
    Isn't that against the law?

Do we need more, and more powerful, anti-gun laws to keep this sort of thing from happening?

The officer was white, the killer is black. This makes it nearly impossible for those who have an agenda to capitalize on, because to raise any issues that support their cause would invariable raise other issues that run counter to it. Expect to see the whole thing quietly disappear.
