I tried carrying a cop, and he said "get a gun, it's smaller and lighter!"

I bet they'd get real mad if you tried to tuck one in your pants to hide them too.

Must've not been a New Jersey or Illinois or California cop.

Well you can look to our current President of the United States as a good example.

Even if you could carry a cop around, he or she is still under no obligation to protect you.

You'll just have a personal report writer.

The only common sense gun legislation was written about 229 years ago.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.

Where I live, the Sheriff's office is 55 miles away and there is another 22 miles to the county line. Better have a gun or be one hell of a smooth talker.

Even if it were an option, I don't necessarily want an appointee by the state to follow me around for my own protection anyway.

You don't want to carry a cop with you. Cops have legal obligations that can interfere with your protection. Also, your typical beat cop does not have the proper training for close protection work.
If you want your property secured and policies enforced, hire a security officer. If you want the law enforced hire a law enforcement officer. If you want personal protection hire a personal protection officer.

I carry because I live in a Democrat controlled county where the police are neutered and criminals get a pass.
