Is Austin really a part of Texas anymore????

Mighty nice of them to allow people to dispose of guns used in crimes. On Jan. 28, 2020, the APD is holding a no-questions-asked gun surrender service where citizens can turn over their unwanted firearms and ammunition.

I'll offer $10 per surrendered firearm if they surrender them to me!

Someone should be outside offering $20 gift cards for guns instead of giving them to the government for free.
We get the government we deserve.

I remember when Austin was a cool town.
that was about 40 years ago.
Hey, I'm going to copy that ad and put my address in its place!
You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.
Plano is having a gun turn in also. Just let me know which ones you don't want and we can arrange for you to turn them in to me.
I have two I need to dispose of that are worn-out & not really safe. I'll cut them in half & bury them, before I'd turn them into one of these "surrender" programs. I've been waiting for one of those $200. "Buyback Schemes", but that's not likely in KS.

I am all for allowing people to turn in unwanted guns. I'd think there are better ways to rid oneself of them, like giving them away to family/friends, donating them to the local gun shops, or maybe even selling them to someone who would appreciate them. But you know there will be Austinites who can't wait to unload the heavy burden these evil guns inflict upon their delicate souls.
