Both ends of my AR have this buckle that a belt slips through...not just a place to attach a hook. Yes I could clip a hook to it, but it would slide about 1.5 inches back and forth.
It is the same kind of attachment you'd find on most rifles.
Let's see if this photo explains it...note the bottom buckle is the same as the top buckle...but the top is easier to see...I have a belt through the bottom buckle.

Sorry about the face, but it's what helps keep the beggars away from me in WalMart parking lots......It's the 'Godfather' look without hair or makeup!

Note to self: Remember to be very careful when touching dangerous things like a 'black shroud'.

    Thanks,

    ret/Ken
    Retsupt,

I see what you are saying now! No, that is not the proper place for a single point sling attachment. Here is a picture exhibiting proper single point attachment, and a single point HK clip as well:

    Hope this explains things better!

    Thanks!

For the single point slings, you'll need one of these
    Northeast Tactical Sling Adapter Plates
    A-2 or collapsible butt-stocks.

You will need the tool(s) to remove your current butt-stock/spacer/tube. Be careful not to lose any springs like the buffer detent, and the rear pin takedown!

Reading this thread made me wonder if the attachment point on my mossy with the Knoxx stock is going to work with the cinch sling you are making for me? Sure there are some others with the same question

Also occurred to me that I have a photographer friend that is pretty darn good. Sure I can get him to do a free photo shoot of your slings for me. If that is something you'd like. I'll send you another one of my long PMs

I know, I still need to get you some pics. I didn't forget, just haven't made the time actually. Since I got my 870, I'll be looking into sling mounting options on it as well. It's the Express model, and I rather like the single point sling option and the rear receiver point of attachment for my AR or the 870 or anything else for that matter. I'll get around to the pics. I have all next week off from work!

Any chance that these will fit Springfield Socom II?

    Redneckerson,

Thank you for your interest. The Springfield Socom II comes stock with a two point sling configuration. If you are looking for a simple two point sling, I can make one for your application. If you are looking for a single point, however, I am not aware of any aftermarket modifications that can be made without the installation of an additional rail that would accommodate such a sling. Another option that you may look into is a three point sling. I'll PM you as well. Thanks!
