Hatchee liked post by snakyjake On thread : Best Total Synthetic Jacket Ammo For Target Practice
Just some extra info... I contacted Federal a while ago and was told their synthetic coating is harmless to suppressors, and alleviated my concerns fouling my suppressor.

For civilian CQB and home defense where penetration isn't a priority, makes me wonder why anyone would consider 300BLK/5.56.

From the ballistic gelatin tests, this would be my top choice. Its also the same weight a m193. In addition, I believe Hornady isn't restricting their ammo sales to the government only. So...

Definitely easy to over think...I've been thinking about the subject for years. I think there are a few basic requirements: 1) Reliable. 2) Maximum penetration. 3) No over penetration. 4)...

The "best" ammo seems to be the ammo that is unavailable. Why can't we find "best" ammo that isn't under government contract or limited to governments? I'd like to find the "best" ammo from a...

I think these quotes from Doctor Roberts sums it up for me. However, like I mentioned before, I'm not sure if the unavailability is because of the "ammo shortage" or because the manufacturers won't...

I prefer Corbon DPX. All others are jacketed, DPX is solid copper. I like the advantages of solid copper. I also like how DPX has the bullet crimp for auto's.
