    New guy

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am Justin from NM, I just got my CCW and was looking at information on a couple different weapons I'm interested in which led me to this forum so I will probably be lurking around a bit. :embarrassed:

Currently narrowed my search for my EDC to Sig p938, Kimber ultra II, and Kimber micro because I have a smaller build and want something on the smaller size. At the moment I am leaning towards the Sig strictly for the size and I really like my Sig p250 but its to large to carry for me.

Welcome from Utah. I carry a Sig P938 part of the time, as do many other members of the site. It's a nice pistol. I can't compare it to the Kimbers for you, but I am sure there will be other people here who can give you a direct comparison.

I don't like Glocks personally, from the ones i've shot the shells always end up building in my caller. If it wasn't for that I would definitely consider them.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of opinions and some good stuff will be found here.

Have you thought any about getting a compact or sub-compact conversion kit for your Sig 250? I had the 250SC and thought it had great ergonomics, easy to carry, high capacity for its size, and pretty good overall if you didn't mind the double action only trigger. Mine had a great double action trigger, and this wasn't an issue with me.

I currently have both a Kimber Ultra Carry II and a Kimber Micro, both of which have seen very limited use. I enjoy shooting the Micro very much, as for its diminutive size it is very accurate and easy to shoot. I have several .380s and only carry one when I am carrying a BUG or dressing very light. I prefer a heavier caliber as a general rule. Without knowing anything more about you, I hesitate to recommend the Ultra Carry. Three inch barreled 1911 .45s are somewhat more difficult to shoot than their larger brethren, and some find them persnickety. My Ultra shoots well, has not given me one spec of trouble, and is a pleasure to carry; it's just not my first choice for EDC with its limited magazine capactity, so it usually stays in the safe. I cannot comment on the 938, having never shot nor carried one.

Welcome to DC.. Great group of guys and gals here. Some very smart people..
I carry a Walther CCP and sometimes my Taurus PT111 G2. I prefer my Walther though. Alien Gear Cloak Tuck for my IWB holster.

    Welcome from Wisconsin!

I'm fairly short & can carry a full size M&P40 without too much lack of concealment. My normal carry is my M&P40C.

I always say to have at least two handguns in your EDC rotation. The largest you can conceal and can shoot the best and the smallest you can shoot the best. Even before I arrived at my husky weight I carried a full sized 1911. Depending on your clothing style you shouldn't have a problem finding a carry position that will conceal even a full sized gun with the proper holster.....for the most part. Right now my favorite sidearm is a fat P229 and I have no problem concealing that with MY wardrobe. I carry OC almost exclusively, but can and do flip my shirt over it when need be. When I do plan to carry concealed it's usually with an 1911 Officer size in an AIWB holster. It's not a little gun, but the way I carry means complete concealment. Very rarely I may pocket carry a P938 if the situation calls for it. YMMV of course.
