After watching the video, i am very happy the two ladies made it out alive.

I hope these ladies now see the importance of carrying their pistols on their persons.

Also, once you start shooting, don't stop until the threat is over.

I am surprised they made it out alive. Holy Moly!

I think, more likely, a placement discussion.

Recall the case where the cop put five rounds of .357 into the bad guy, who both lived and fired back with a 22 and killed the cop. I'm not at all suggesting a .22 is more potent than a .357, only that placement in both situations probably mattered more. Additionally, as the mother said in the interview, she yelled at her daughter to empty gun on him. This too, may have ended the encounter sooner if "fire until the threat is ended" had been the strategy of both woman.

That being said, nothing but props from me to them for handling a very scary and difficult situation with determination.

Shot placements a heck of a lot easier if the target isn't chasing you. I'm not sure I could do much better in that situation.

Agreed. Keep your weapon on you. A smarter robber woulda seen that coming and they’d both be dead. Glad it worked out, but this is more of lesson on how not to do it.

This is a 'special' event in that a somewhat rarity occurred....the armed robber came back for seconds, and almost 'won' it. Luckily for our cashiers, they had just more than enough fight in 'em to make it worth our thugs while to come get some more.....

This O2-waster was gonna cover his tracks by eliminating whitnesses AND avenging getting shot the first time.....

Perforate 'em NOT til you think they've had enough....keep going until THEY KNOW they've had enough.

Yikes. When it's time to shoot, shoot, don't talk. And don't let the bad guy close in to take your gun away, especially if you haven't fired every round yet.

A case of a very motivated robber that was not dissuaded from attacking even though he was outgunned and shot multiple times.

Don't count on the attacker to turn and run, or to keep running.

The most important quote from the New story:

The owner's son said their guns saved their lives.

"We're not going to be victims," said Justin Christen.
What are the lessons learned from the video: (1) By the time the Police arrived, it was over. The armed robber had time to come at the store clerks multiple times. (2) You have to be your own first responder. (3) If store clerks can take down a robber, so can teachers in a classroom.

I have been taught you keep shooting until the threat stops. The ladies did great and took a bad guy off the streets. They should be proud of themselves.

It's almost comical to watch though, they do just about everything wrong. They're not carrying on person, the mom shoots once and stops, the daughter almost shoots mom and then erratically shoots at the BG, yet through chaotic persistence they prevail.

I guess that's all that matters.

That's what I'd noticed when watching, I was getting worried one was going to shoot the other, daughter almost did shoot her Mom. Kinda like trying to shoot a coyote that's mixing it up with your dog, you'd have a 50/50 chance of hitting the right one. They survived, I guess that's what counts, but I'd say some training is in order.
