Glad to see the man defend his store successfully. Guess those two would be robbers better take a remedial course on victim selection.

The lesson here is I may not be able to fight and I can't run but I can and will shoot.

He put his gun in the robbers face but he didn't hold him until the police arrived?

I went to a gas station very early in the morning every week about 30 years ago. An 80 year old WWII marine veteran owned and ran it. He had the mid watch everyday. One day I saw him on the news. Two overgrown thugs held him up with a knife. He had a small cut on his hand from disarming them. Their faces were swollen beyond description. Messed with the wrong guy.

If in the same situation where the thug turned and ran, I think I would just be relieved that the threat was over and time to check my shorts.

Some 80 year olds might be ancient, but not feeble.
