Welcome to the thug life
The parents of a dead armed robber are very angry over his death, and are demanding to know why his innocent victim was allowed to be armed.
This Pizza Hut employee had the right to defend his life and the lives of others against the violent actions of your predator son.
Your son chose to be a violent criminal, and earned the bullet that ended his life.
If it is ever your misfortune to be attacked, alertness will have given you a little warning, decisiveness will have given you a proper course to pursue, and if that course is to counterattack, carry it out with everything you've got! Be indignant. Be angry. Be aggressive.

Read our government's plan to destroy the Constitution.
How fitting that this took place on Freedom Drive.
We get the government we deserve.

Doesn't surprise me though. This seems to be a recurring theme with the family of thugs who get lead poisoning as a result of their chosen profession.

Two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner.
A well armed lamb contesting the vote.
Freedom Drive in Charlotte was where all of the high schoolers hung out on Friday and Saturday nights back in my day. Ran many a drag race on that strip. It used to be a nice area until it had a population shift. Now it is iffy to drive on it, especially after dark. That area is completely run down now.

So he had fallen on hard times, eh? Well let's see. graduating from high school, don't do stupid things with stupid people, like drugs and druggies, and getting and holding a job might just go a long way to correct those "hard times". Oh, and can we add to that not committing any felonies?
Actions have consequences and stupid actions tend to have hard consequences. He chose to do a stupid thing and paid the ultimate consequence and his parents think the victim needs to be in jail? No wonder the kid turned out like he did.

In the final seconds of your life, just before your killer is about to dispatch you to that great eternal darkness, what would you rather have in your hand? A cell phone or a gun?
And she would be screaming police brutality instead.“If there was to be a death, it was not the place of the employee at Pizza Hut. That is the place of law enforcement,” said Hairston.

Ex-employee, yeah it was personal. Current employee feared this ex-employee might try to leave "no witnesses" like I can't begin to name the number of "ex-employee robbers" have in the past. SOP for their ilk! I say "GOOD SHOT!"

This land abounds in ruffians and varmints. Their numbers are legion, their evil skills commensurate.
The way I see it, that mother's attitude is probably a very large part of how and why her kid met his fate.

Generations of young people are being taught that crime is OK if you don't get caught. It's OK to take another's property by robbing or home invasions. No need to work for a living, just take what the state/federal government will give you and steal what you want.
I'm surprised that PH allows employees to carry - maybe they don't and the employee will be fired? Anyway, I saw that report a couple days ago and I couldn't believe that the parents were trying to make the employee the bad guy..
