When it absolutely, positively has to get there overnight - go Fedex!

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor armed bad guys will keep these drivers from their appointed rounds. I hope the Fedex guy recovers soon. You'll have to go to the article to read the details. For some reason it's impossible to copy any of the text from this site.

Basically he was a 32 year old Fedex driver who was robbed and then shot in the stomach by an armed bad guy. The driver returned fire and shot the 27 year old suspect several times in the chest, back, and torso. Law enforcement found the suspect in critical condition, with shell cases in his vehicle and several of the stolen packages. The suspect (he was a good boy!) died of his injuries an hour and a half later.

Now that's what I call a special delivery.
Are we now going to get into a caliber war over what the fedex driver was shooting?
3 times and still survived for a few hours.

Reminds of the old Stage Coach Days where there was always a Guy with a Joe Biden Double Barrel Shotgun riding "Shotgun".
Seems that being an armed Delivery Driver makes a lot of good sense.
    What a concept!

Praying for the speedy recovery of the FedEx driver. Stayed in the fight... must not have been done with his route! Hard core.

I'm glad this worked out for the driver, even though injured himself. Unfortunately, I would not be surprised to read shortly that he lost his job.

Was thinking the same. I wonder what fedex policy on drivers being armed?

If he loses his job for that I'd say it was a job that needed losing.

I agree with the sentiment, but during a pandemic, it might be a hard job to replace.

How upside down is this world.
Our discussion has to go to, hope the poor driver does not lose his job or get into trouble, rather than good for him!
The thug got what he deserved.
Driver should get a big fat bonus and a raise.

In the article, the FedEx rep wouldn’t disclose their policy.

In my opinion all delivery drivers should be armed since they are the only ones standing between very valuable cargo and some criminal.

Interesting, well I guess it is better than a corporate statement blaming the driver.

FedEx should give the driver the employee of the month award. Perhaps some of the thugs thinking that FedEx packages are easy pickins will think twice about FedEx and target something else.
