I stopped w/a few guys at some brewery in Cary and had a couple pretty good IPA's. Dark, mellow, still IPA and called something or other. A guy from England picked up the tab. Then I brought home a 12 pack of Fat Tire IPA's w/tangerine pictures on the box (and I quite like the stuff). As dinner nears it'll be heading towards the wine cellar (a large white box in the pantry).

All in all, that's enough and for this given week of our Lord, I gotta say I don't feel even a little bit guilty. They kicked hell outa this guy (and they like me...I mean yikes)

Right now, I have a glass of Absolut on the rocks and a can of Diet Coke next to me.

The usual: A glass of half water and half Italian red wine. That is my standard before dinner (half of it) and during dinner drink (the other half).

    Thanks a lot!

Actually I've gotten used to the half and half and can't stand the taste of "all wine" anymore. Old age and that stuff, you know.

I enjoyed a Sierra Nevada pale ale (okay, 2 of them).

They were a most welcome conclusion to a great 25 mile bike ride, mostly in upper90-100 degree heat.

Oh, and as I recall, brandy is the distillation product of wine. (Alcohol content will be correspondingly higher; perhaps best consumed in a smoothie?)
