I hate driving in Raleigh. I stay in the far right lane to try and avoid foolishness. God forbid you are the roadway at the same time some kid wants to test his ride.

Normally I only go to Raleigh is for a car show, coin show or a gun show and those are at the fairgrounds.

I can only do about 185 mph, but I could probably beat him on a twisty road.

198 mph is approaching NASCAR speeds. I remember riding with a friend driving an Olds at 105 in a race in high school. I wouldn't care to repeat it; I'm not a speed guy.

That reminds me of many years ago when I had my first 240Z, told a guy with a 440 Dodge Charger I would race him but I had choice of roads.

Then you probably would not have enjoyed riding in my '64 GTO as I wound the speedo past 120 and all the way around to zero . . . while drinking . . . in sleet and freezing rain. Fools and drunks. I qual'd as both.

Did I mention that was on recaps?

I was stopped in downtown Denver in a 1967 GTO for 135 mph in a 40 mph about 2:30 am by a motorcycle cop. I was stopped in a modified 1978 Corvette for 107 mph on the onramp to a raised freeway by a motorcycle cop. Those motorcycle cops are sneaky.

My buddy needed to borrow my truck in HS. I was 18-19. I rode his Suzuki Titan for a week in November, including one night after drinking in sleet and rain. I had it up to 95 mph on city streets. I'm lucky. Didn't care much for motorcycles when I sobered up and realized how stupid I was.

If I was several inches taller, I wouldn't be overweight.
