Gun Free Zones are totally effective, and 100% safe ... (wait for it) ... (wait for it) ... until a bad guy with a gun shows up! Then suddenly, you have an uncontested Kill Zone of defensless sheep, patiently awaiting their turn for the slaughter.

My two fearsome beasts. Dottie, a 35 pound female part some kind of shepherd and part some kind of terrier. And Paddy, an 18 pound male Yorkie Poo Mix. Both are rescues from the SPCA. Both are crazy. Here you can see them harassing each other. Paddy, the smaller one, is usually the instigator, but not always. The second photo is them "formation napping." They like to sleep in the same positions.

"Keira" aka "Lady K". A rescue. SPCA seized her when she weighed 35# after having 2 litters. A Plott Hound, a breed from the Carolinas, she's suppose to weigh 55#. Got her at around , now 7. Best companion dog I've ever owned. But like all bitches, loves to spend my money.

The wife and I watched a movie we bought a while back. I would HIGHLY recommend it to all of you who love animals:

This movie has everything: Marines, Iraq War, guns, pups. I suspect you will enjoy it.

My two rescue cats are named Max and Vi. So let me introduce you to them. Vi is the top photo. She is sweet, a hunter, and not afraid of anything. Max is is a slug who spends his day waiting to be fed, but he is a good guy too.

I do not want to cause thread drift, but this thread is a perfect place for me to make a PSA. If you read my post above you know I have a hearing problem that requires hearing aids. Since hearing damage is cumulative hearing protection is critical for me on enemy a single shot. Could never get plugs to works reliably. I used 31NR muffs but really hated the bulk. I am always researching something as a by product of being fully retired. I came across a Chuck Hawks article about his experimenting with a different type of hearing protection. The linkis posted at the end.

I bough the product and have been using it for a year. They work as advertised. They fold up into a ackage they fits into a shirt pocket. And they are amazingly inexpensive. Sold my muffs on eBay. Never going back. Check out the Chuck Hawks article here: https://www.chuckhawks.com/otis_ear_shield.html
