Everyone knows the end of the story but the path of getting there is slow and ... wait for it...... boring. According to critics.
But what to film critics know?
I always search out movies that get bad reviews in the MSM. Usually means there is something in there based on real life decisions/consequences.
Virtually every movie I've seen that got good reviews pissed me off!

I watched it this evening as entertainment. It was that, and fairly well done.

I'll leave the historical accuracy debate to those who have studied it.

@PAcanis Brother I owe you an apology. Before I went to bed last night a got a list of the guns found in the car - BUT I DIDN't SAVE IT. Dumb. Dumb.

So, here is the list from Bosseneckers' book:

Front seat: 1 BAR, 1 pistol (Bonnie's) I would assume Clyde also had a pistol, but it wasn't mentioned.
    Back seat: 2 BAR's, 9 "Colt Automatic pistols" ( 1911's ? ) / 3 bags and a box with more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition / a valise with 40 loaded magazines for the BAR's ( 20 rounds each )

As mentioned above, that list is just not complete, as is obvious from the first frames of Hinton's movie. There are 3 BAR's and 2 shotguns (one short and one riot length barrel) propped against the back bumper.

Since we don't have any official documents listing evidence acquired, this may be another mystery. I do think we're a lot closer here than we are about who fired what and when!

The list I posted is supposedly from the official inventory the "Posse" made at the time. Since they got to keep the weapons, I'd imagine it's accurate.

Parker & Barrow family members claim Jordan kept a suitcase full of money, which I highly doubt. Cumie Barrow wanted Hamer to return to the family, "Clyde's" guns. I thought that took a lot of gall on her part since Clyde stole them in the first place.

Again, we'll never really know I reckon.

Since Clyde STOLE most of those guns from the American taxpayers, I think they should be given to the descendants of the American taxpayers. I'd love to own a BAR - just for fun!

    Thanks for the additional info.

I was wondering (although who really knows) which ones might be accessible (front seat), if they tended to travel with them or left some back at the house and how much ammo they had on hand. Also, how their weapons compared to the ones Hamer purchased.

And I'm assuming he let the posse use the ones he brought/purchased.

For the two outlaws, there was no "back at the house". They pretty much lived in their vehicles, and kept their arsenals and ammo there. They lost those arsenals from time to time, but would quickly break into armories to replenish.

Hamer's posse got the two BARs from the state national guard.
