For mature adults, songs often reflect our own personal feelings and experiences, cause singers and songwriters are human beings with feelings too. And they try to reach out to people with meaningful lyrics.
I lived these lyrics during my failed marriage to an unfaithful husband. Very painful in more ways than one. But real.
