The company sent me to a convention in Reno and I took my wife with me. We stayed at the convention casino. The last night of the convention, we went to dinner at a restaurant in town. When we returned to the casino, my wife wanted to play the quarters she had left. I suggested we cash them in and go to bed. We compromised, split the quarters, and played them.

An island of slot machines had a Harley Davidson on top at each end. I told my wife I was going to play for a Harley. She told me nobody ever wins the big prizes. She went to another island to play. I got down to a handful of quarters with very little payback.

I put in the maximum number of quarters and pulled the handle. Four 7s lined up and the island lit up with flashing lights. People in suits appeared from nowhere. I thought I had won a Harley. They informed me that I had won his and hers Harleys.

I asked one of the employees to tell my wife. She went over and talked to my wife who had her back toward me. My wife went back to playing. The employee talked to my wife again and she turned around. The first time, my wife asked her how much I had paid her to say that. She finally convinced my wife to look.

We were flying home to Florida early the next morning. If I took the bikes, I would have to pay shipping to Florida and pay Florida sales tax on them. I was told the U.S. gift tax would run 47%. If I took the equivalent cash, it was ordinary income. I took the cash. When we got back to Florida, I bought an ocean fishing boat and named it Harley.

My test ride last summer that was so much fun I did not want to bring it back. I may have to get one of these as a backup-it's good to have a backup is what I tell my wife:

Love the RT. When I first showed my adult son he responded "You bought the Bat-Cycle!"

    2006 Kawasaki Concours -- ZG1000

This has been mine since 2011, and has gone through a LOT of
upgrades over the years. I use Connie for Motocamping and
    riding locally.

Suspension is much sportier, added cruise control, Russell Day Long Seat
added a top case, some performance mods. She's a formidable canyon
carver, and can run the slab all day comfortably. 43k miles.

This is the one I named the "rocket ship", soon to be my brothers. I've had it to 135 only using 8K of the 10.2 red line.

    The RT's are fabulous bikes.

Here's my 89 Wing. I bought it 3 years ago tomorrow with 121k miles and she's pushing 145k now. I've had her out since the 3rd week of March and ride rain (if its above 50) or shine until the snow falls at the end of the year. Hoping to keep her running for another 5-10 years.

Brownie, you look like the getaway driver at the bank. But they'll never find you in that Safety Yellow jacket.

Well, I said I never should have test rode that BMW. I recently sold my Kawasaki
Concours, and picked this little bad boy up.... A 2016 BMW S1000XR Premium Edition.

Got a fair deal, and got a set of color matched panniers... Now there's a new horse in the stable.

Slowly getting her set up for some touring. Fast 'lil bugger. A blast to ride.

Payton is in a wheel chair she is 11 now and has 12,000 miles in sidecars. Last week we made a run to the ARK in Williamstown KY 1,100 miles round trip . She had a great time. We left to head home at 0530 from Harrison OH. From the long day before at the ARk then swimming at the motel she was wore out . When I loaded her up she informed me she would take a nap until first gas stop. Part of her wheelchair fits behind the seat. She has two bikes setup with sidecars an she ride even in winter,

Yes Taurus really does suck. But in fairness they sure turned it around fast on warranty repair. Time will tell

Too hot to ride here. Heat index is 110 lately. So my Road King is under the cover in the garage waiting for cooler weather.
