    I found The Hurt Locker to be disappointing, thinking through most of the movie--Someone needs to smack the snot out of this guy before he gets them killed.

    My son, who was in EOD at the time, gave it a two-thumbs "Meh."

    The British WWII series Danger! UXB! was much better.

    Sorry, I have to strongly disagree with you and most, if not all, EOD Techs will tell you the same thing! The only thing that movie did was make people aware of EOD. If you want to see a good program about EOD find the PBS series Danger UXB, it's dated but a lot more realistic.

    The "hero" in this movie would have never made it through the EOD School, and if he had he wouldn't have lasted very long in our field, not to mention some of the stupid things that occurred in the movie... I defy you to pull 6 155mm shells out of the ground with one hand!!
