I'm certain that after the courts weigh in, this mess will be more or less confused than it already is.

Crossing state lines was a que for Federal courts.

I don't think this one will disappear by tomorrow's news cycle.

Heavy and editorialized is all I need.

Now that's just asking for trouble solutions where I'm from.

Federal Court for what? They just went to another state which is perfectly legal. They were not under house arrest or anything.

I agree. I don't remember the News reacting this way in Wisconsin when the Dems left the State a few years back in protest?

Sounds like at least some legislators in Oregon are fighting being californicated.

    Exactly.

When state level Congress quorum rules were established, everyone knew full well that if the majority became tyrannical the minority could deny passage of bills by denying a quorum. It's designed into the system to force amicable behavior and tempering of extreme government action.

You have to remember elected Democrats in Oregon are socialists and communists while elected Republicans are ex-conservative Democrats with their backs to the wall. If two seats in the Senate swing in the future, there is no mechanism to stop the anti-Second Amendment attacks. The Democrats in the House of Representatives exceed the quorum. The Senate is two short of a quorum. Governor Kate Brown is an openly bi-sexual uber-socialist.

Not that progressives think things through, but since I'm not a progressive, let's see this to its logical conclusion.

State troopers arrest a few Republican senators. They hold them in a jail cell under an executive order. No warrant. No charges. No support from the judicial branch.

Do the troopers escort the senators, at gunpoint, to the Senate floor? Do police have the authority to force you anywhere outside the criminal justice locations (jail, court, medical care); especially without a court order?

Since we've gone this far, why not have the senators vote at the literal barrel of a gun?
