Well what about the $1600.00 in Jim Beam bottles that got broken? That should get you over your deductible.

They may have been broken, but not a drop hit the floor.

    And it's Jim Beam.

Any suggestions? I'm really mad because I've lost all my writings and load data for the Mongoose. Hopefully that can be recovered.
If it's Win10 and you recently installed the Fall update, try pressing F8 as Windows first starts loading, get into safe mode, and try the repair options.

One of my machines went wonky on that, the screen would come up with red and black vertical lines. After a couple rounds of the safe mode boots, it wound back and started behaving.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.

I can't tell when anything is doing anything. Blank screen. The boot-up sector is corrupted. It no longer knows how to boot up.

It's going on 4-5 years old, was having video problems with the lid connections, so I think it's just due for replacement. The guy who checked it knows his stuff and said any repair would be temporary. He can transfer my flies, which are my main concern.
