That should work the vast majority of the time.

I can understand why some folks would not want to be photographed but, the reality these days is that privacy is dead & probably everywhere but in your bathroom.
Shhhhhhhhh.........The Forum has installed a Webcam in your privvy........It activates when you throw the light switch, and is sound activated .........

Anyone who posted a picture of me in church would be accused of fraud. No one who knows me would believe it. ;)

Taking my picture seems more invasive than having to shake hands and I dislike shaking hands.
The idea that someone might go to church just to hear the sermon, not as a social event, is apparently not very prevalent.

I'm not inclined to disarm for a concert, game, (entertainment) and I ain't going on a plane or cruise.

And anyone who would want to hire me is lucky to have me. I'm doing them a favor by selling them my time and talent. If they are offended by an FB post of something about me, they have self-selected as someone I would not want to work for. They obviously don't want the job done, they just want to value-signal and I won't support that.

I volunteer for the VCDL. I wind up on their FB page occasionally for that. But I'm not going to stop fighting for gun rights because I am worried it will show up on some social media search. I am not going to stop going to church or have people know I go to church just because I am worried about my "online presence." What happened to this being a free country?

If you want to play the PC game, that's up to you. But know that all this "woke culture" paranoia is happening because people are letting it happen. They are capitulating to this BS and it will only get worse as a result.
I'm the last person you will find "Playing the PC game" I'm talking about protecting your own self interests by understanding how modern day society works, right or wrong.
You're welcome to stand on your principles all you want, and kiss off potentially great jobs that you could have had as a result.
Much easier to change a corporate culture from the inside than from the outside

People will never get to know you as an individual, and find out that you are reasonable, intelligent adult, and as such, consider your positions with a more open mind and possibly change theirs if you never give them the chance because you were to rigid to try.

Also, funny thing, I see you dumping on people open carrying rifles in other threads, and saying that's not what you do in polite company, which sounds a hell of a lot like playing the PC game to me.
So which is it? Do you stand for your principles and others be damned like you are talking about here? Or do you "capitulate to the PC BS" like you are advocating for in other threads?

First, you are taking my remarks way too personally. I was not attacking you personally and I apologize if it seemed so. Sometimes I fall into the bad habit of using the pronoun "you" generally rather than specifically. But I have to say, respectfully, that I think you personally are being too thin skinned. This is an online message board, not a political campaign or a confirmation hearing. We say all sorts of things here and you can probably go back and take any long-term member's comments out of context and claim all sorts of inconsistencies. We say what we feel in the thread we are in and don't expect people to throw our whole history here back in our faces. The going gets rough here sometimes, but it is all meant well.

Second, you are laughably off the mark with your assertions about my opinions and my background in context. Not even close. But that is for an offline discussion.

Yes and no but Iím glad you brought it up, the shaking hands part. My immunities are low and doc said not to get the MMR shot cause of it - I never got it as a kid and didnít find out until not long ago.

We had quite a show at church this past Sunday! When the pastors wife started photographing that is when the trouble started....CWO grabbed the phone and tossed it into the baptism pool where the preacher was baptizing a family of 3 and it hit the kid right in the ear. Kid screamed and a wet father jumped over the glass and the glass broke and water went everywhere. Yeah sounds good, none of it happened since DH was out w a bad back so we didnít go this week but hope somebody got entertained by the story just made up!

    Have a happy day
