Added an evil black rifle to the mix, because too many of my betters have said that I don't need one. Over the last few moths, every time I've gone into a LGS, I saw someone applying for their FOID card. You can renew online, so I'm guessing that each time was someone who is new to firearms.

I know little on the subject so I'll speak at length.

I did. I bought an AR lower and all the parts that went with it, but I don't like those scary black rifles.

So I built a scary beige rifle.

Haven't bought one in a long, long while... but my LGS had a consignment sale on a Shield 40 with 7 magazines for $200, and that was too good to pass up... And I did get about 1000 rounds of .40 S&W to replenish the practice ammo... I have a CHCL as well, so not sure if it tallied up another NICS check or not...

I did not do my part as air rifles do not count. Pretty happy with, and enjoying, what I have. I do need one of those SA Mil-specs though.

edit to add: After reading the update about the deputy that shot an innocent homeowner through his window here in SC, I am adding a .50 Beowulf or .458 SOCOM to my need list.

Its been a good long while since Ive bought a gun. Been trying to save my money for adult stuff instead of the adult version of new toys (guns).

As I frequently tell my wife, they are "tools" not toys.

My son and I did our part! Although, 2 of our purchases bled over into Oct...purchased in Sept and delivered in Oct.

Gramps traded a gun for another one, so that showed up as a sale on the stats.
