    Solo Camping

Everyone backed out of upcoming camping trip and the wife says it is too cold but i could go
by myself if i wanted....So i called her bluff and i am going solo...She did say she would come visit
since i will only be like 15 miles away...I think some peace and quiet and some fishing and naps will
    be in order

I have camped by myself many times.
I enjoy being out in God's Country with family and good friends, but sometimes being alone is wonderful.
A good campsite, a good book, good food and a nice bottle of whisky is all I need.

Good decision. I used to solo camp two or three time a year in summer, summer, and fall. A fine baked me why I liked it so much. I tole him that it was great because I got to be alone with a really nice person. Enjoy tour too camping. It is food for the soul, and a time when the mind can rest a bit.

    Ain't nothing wrong with that.
Everyone needs a little alone time from time to time. But I would at least bring my favorite dog.

Do some solo camping out here every now and again. Nothing wrong with it.

Good to get away and get some time to yourself once in a while, to just contemplate life.

I always enjoy having the wife along, but I can get farther, faster without her, and there's more room in the tent!

I usually carry the heaviest gear items anyway, so the difference in my pack weight is negligible.

Loved my own company the best until I met my husband, had rather be with him than by myself.

What kind of camping are you doing the tent camp or the full electricity with a head and galley?

If your wife is happily sending you off then I can guarantee a hen party at your house, us henís throw down 😉

Camping alone can be fun. I got way too drunk on a Friday afternoon while in college and wanted to go camping. So I hitchhiked between Ellensburg and Yakima, WA with my tent and a bottle of booze.

The next morning there wasnt any traffic so I ended up hiking about 10 of the 20 miles back to town till someone stopped to give me a ride.

The guys at the LGS are into camping and ATVs. They invite me on their trips. I always tell them my idea of camping is driving the Corvette to a five-star bed & breakfast overlooking a beach.
