    Currahee!

Yes, that 506th. I have an engraved copy of the Scrapbook. My grandmother dated this guy and I have no idea how she ended up with it. It's engraved to Sgt William S Langton C Company. But I can't quite track down his involvement in the Regiment at this point. Thought you guys might get a kick out of this. When I opened it up and saw the Currahee and Col R F Sink my jaw dropped.

It's easy to recognize Sorbel leading Easy Co. I had the pleasure of meeting TSgt Amos "Buck" Taylor of Easy Co.

Nothing of that level of fame, but I have my dad's Seabee scrapbook from the 92 NCB from WWII. I intend to leave it to the Seabee museum. It's not so much a scrapbook as more like a yearbook for the battalion.

That is wonderful, and so meaningful with the provenance.

That is fantastic. (Be nice to see that find it's way into a museum or military library at some point.)

Amazing find! You'll enjoy studying that for quite some time. It is great to handle pieces of history.

Side note: For those of you in the Air Force...a nice history site, complete with authoritative histories and personal accounts in downloadable pdf format.

Figured you guys would enjoy that.

Finally found out where my Grandfather was during the war. 76th Infantry Division, 364th 364th Field Artillery Battalion, 364th Medical Detachment. They shelled the Germans at the Battle of the Bulge I believe, they were in the Ardennes. Got a letter from him written just after that when they were at Weilerbach Station, Luxembourg. So he came in via Belgium after the Allies had a good foothold in France and needed the big guns.

The next project is digging out the war letters that are scattered in her things. We brought 4 of them back yesterday. Two from my grandfather, one from her fiancé at the time who was KIA in Luxembourg, and one to her fiancé from her sister that was returned after he was KIA.
