Matter of opinion. I致e lived in 3 of those states (from one) and am familiar with and like all of them. That being said we do not intend on retiring in any of those states because they are hot most of the time (imo).

Very generalized opinion of what good weather is, most of those states do not have 4 seasons (imo).
I知 just going to toss this out there has nothing to do with states.... are you over 21?

Agreed, like you, I have lived in three and been to all but one. Which states have the best weather is entirely dependent on what kind of weather each person likes. The year round temperature to me is not much of a factor in where I would decide to live. They can enjoy their year round great temperature along the coast, while the valley gets 110, and everything is dead due to a lack of water, and I will enjoy having water and green grass.

Best weather is a matter of opinion.

Brother you picked the most liberal county in NC! Obama owns land there, bought it while he was still president. Beautiful area though. I知 from New Hanover county in NC, it was in the south a long time ago however rare to hear the mother accent there now.

Everybody has what the like and don稚 like in weather, also in laws, taxes and so fourth. Even people, there are parts of this country that CWO refuses to even consider to live in because of the people - hateful, rude, know-it-alls, just some folks are friendlier than others but there are nice and not-so everywhere. So far my favorite place was in Wisconsin north of Green Bay, and that was due to the weather - I personally like snow.

If it were not for the gun laws we would retire in Oregon or Washington state (like the weather) but it just isn稚 going to happen. Tennessee and Missouri are in a small mix of states to consider unless laws change in the next couple of years, Kentucky is another one. We池e not in a hurry and have met great folks where we are now.

    Indeed.

Here in Western Washington, it rains A LOT. I choose to take a bit more of a long view of weather, though. In the event of a major loss of function in society, three things will be important: Food, Water, and Shelter. Everything else is just extras.

Here in Western Washington, it is below freezing very seldom, and it is over 80 degrees very seldom. That makes the shelter part much easier to manage, just by virtue of the fact that keeping yourself from freezing and keeping yourself from heatstroke are not really much of a consideration.

The fact that it rains so frequently here means that water is not really an issue either. That means that 2 of those 3 items are managed more easily just by the location here. It not only means that water for drinking is readily available, but it also greatly reduces the fire danger for most of the year.

The hunting in the western part of the state here is certainly not what it once was, due to population growth, but it would be pretty tough to tap out the fishing, the shellfish, and the berries here. That's one of the reasons the early inhabitants were very prosperous. There are also A LOT of feral fruit trees in my area. At certain times of the year, you can't even give apples away... We grow a not insignificant portion of our own food, with very little need for irrigation.

So even with the amount of rain we get, I think the weather is perfect.

What caused the vagrant camps is the city Voting to allow camping in public spaces! The sense-able thing is they have repealed the Urban camping law. Whats wrong in CA is they wont admit they were wrong!DR

You have to be a native Texan to tolerate the summer heat here!

That Sister, is why we sold & moved back to FL, Citrus County area after 35 years there. Changed a tad.
Would move to TN in a heartbeat. We were in TN 3 - 4 days a week in our camper on Lake Watauga for years, but the boss doesn't like cold weather any more.
    God bless her.
