My Dad, the old WW2 combat veteran, left us with several examples of very good advice. I remember:

    1. Might as well enjoy the weather today, it's the only weather you're going to get.

    2. Son, you may not be very much good, but you're sure slow.

    3. Having seen how rich people live and how poor people live, I think rich is better.

OK, not the world's leading philosopher, but he did pretty good.

My dad used to like saying:
Quit your complaining, It's not like I am asking you to storm the beach at Iwo Jima!

    One of my dad's observations.

If it flies, floats or fornicates--RENT IT
MY RIGHTS DON'T END WHERE YOUR FEELINGS BEGIN

The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".

Probably from the Vietnam era, but still good. The Navy Seal Motto.
