    Gangster Movies

Caught Gangster Land last night. Supposedly an "inspired story of true events" based on the life of Vincenzo Antonio Gibaldi, aka "Machine Gun" Jack McGurn. McGurn was born in Italy @1900, immigrated through New York and wound up in Chicago as a teen. He was a good boxer and trained to be a prize fighter. He caught the eye of Al Capone and became an enforcer for his operations after his step-father was gunned down by a Bugs Moran crew. He was always suspected to be the mastermind behind the Valentine's Day Massacre, if not an actual shooter. His involvement was never proven, and he was was eventually gunned down at the age of 36. https://www.babyfacenelsonjournal.com/jack-mcgurn.html

Got a favorite gangster movie? The Untouchables is probably my favorite, although its largely fiction too.

I think for me it will always be a toss up between The Godfather 1&2 and Goodfellas

If it is ever your misfortune to be attacked, alertness will have given you a little warning, decisiveness will have given you a proper course to pursue, and if that course is to counterattack, carry it out with everything you've got! Be indignant. Be angry. Be aggressive.

All my favorite gangster movies are in B&W. I like the oldies.
