    Whats the big deal

A bunch of grown men in a brawl as a result of playing a violent game.
I heard assault charges should be filed...This scuffle has been way over blown.
Fine the 2 guys and donate it to charity...Why should anyone else be fined for sticking up
    for their fellow team mates.

Just another reason to not watch the NFL.

This is why I watch hockey instead. No kneeling. No whining because someone hurt you.

Really though if you think about it, a lot of what happens in the NHL could be assault. They just do not cry about it there. Look back at the Broad Street Bully days in Philly.

Why? Because irresponsible behavior is never excused because you came to the aid of buddy who engaged in irresponsible behavior. Head injuries in the NFL have been in the news for years as their aftermath is no becoming clear. It is one thing to get a head injury in the course of pay action and quite another to get if from being intentionally hit in the head with a helmet in the hands of an assailant.

I agree. The rules are the rules. In my hockey example, the things they do are either not against the rules or they are and have penalties in place.

Really guys...Both guys were at fault here....While some punishment has to set a example for
the future... But assault?...I guess if you try to rip off a guys helmet and kick him on the ground...You are somehow the victim
when he rips yours off and clocks you with it after you run at him....No harm no foul i say.

Looked to me like one guy was better at ripping helmets off...If you don't want to be hit in the noggin...Don't
run after the guy as he is being restrained by your team mates.

I haven't watched a pro football game since the first knee, and I have no plans to change that position.

Football is a violent game no doubt. However this behavior should not be tolerated. His coach and team owner should take care of the problem. Release from contract and forfeiture of salary might be in order.

What ever happened to the notion of unsportsmanlike conduct?

So in hockey punching a guy isn't assault?...In baseball throwing at a guy and hitting him isn't assault?
We have gotten way to soft...Its sports and scuffles are a part of it.
I know it may be hard for some to understand...But team mates having each others back is the greatest form of bonding
that can take place...Yes punishment should be handed out but lets not go overboard like we have here.
The video showed both guys were at fault and team mates were just doing what good team mates do.
