Could not help but laugh at what this idiot from the NY Post wrote!

Of the major NYC newspapers the NY Post is considered the most conservative (that ain't saying much though). However, the author of this POS article made me laugh... not out of amusement but out of incredulity.

    Here's an excerpt:

"But I also understand the allure of guns and their role in family traditions. I’ve shot guns — an Uzi was my choice in the automatic variety — and I understand the thrill.

Here’s one thing, however, that I can’t understand.

I got an email the other day from the Henry Repeating Arms company. In the subject line was this: “Nothing says ‘Merry Christmas’ Like An AR-7.”

And nothing says “idiot” like the person who wrote that line.

In case you don’t know guns, an AR-7 is a semi-automatic rifle that can be used to defend your family, go hunting and — in the wrong hands — kill a lot of people."
    Emphasis mine.

I doubt this snowflake would know the difference between Uzi and Umarex.

I see a lot of projection in that article.

    What a triggered moron.
This is what passes for journalism now days.
Why bother reading any paper that has New York on the banner.
Heck I do not read any newspapers anymore, they are all garbage.
One of the best traditions in my family is the gifting of firearms on Christmas.
From your first BB gun to your first .22.
Heck the 1911 was invented by a guy in the bible. John "Moses" Browning!

I guess you could kill a lot of people with an AR-7. That's assuming you have plenty of time, a couple bricks of 22, and very patient victims.

Then again, James Bond downed a helicopter with an AR-7 so maybe the author knows better than me.

A lot of things can be used to kill a lot of people when in the wrong hands. Just more proof that it’s not really about a salt gun.

All it needs is "AR" and be black/semi-auto. Done deal.

Just put the letters AR in front of anything and the snowflakes melt in fear.
Think I will go out for lunch today and get a juicy AR burger with some AR fries and a AR vanilla shake.
That should trigger the pajama boys.

I had to look up the firearm. I am not all that familiar with the Henry Repeating Arms line of products. I laughed a lot when I saw that it was just a .22 rifle. Not even as nice as the staple tried and true Ruger 10/22 that only God knows how many people own. My Father taught me how to shoot with his Ruger 10/22 that is older than me.

Even the tactical .22s look scarier. S&W makes a nice AR style .22s that have proven reliable, and are popular enough.

The guy got worked up over something really stupid. A typical uneducated liberal.

Yep, just a little .22lr. Not really a Henry though, they just bought the rifle at some point. It has been owned by ArmaLite, Charter Arms and some others. Originally made by ArmaLite, hence the AR designation. They used the tooling and design from Stoner's AR-5 for the civilian AR-7. It is pretty neat as a concept. Even floats!

I guess it is scary since it has an "AR" designation. It should be only mildly scary though since an AR-7 has less than half as many ARs in it as an AR-15. Less ARs is surely less deadly right?
